The request was to create a timeless visual identity that would reflect the books' characteristics but could change every year based on the different concepts.

To create the visual identity, we simply observed the structure of the books, as they are stacked horizontally on the shelf of a house or a library. Inspired by the spine of the book, we created the festival's logo, while the word "book festival" complements the logo in the position of the book's pages, thus completing the idea.

The stained white/beige color reflects the aged pages, while the faded black, the hardcover covers of the encyclopedia volumes we read as children. The curved symbol of the festival also functions as a container to include the concept image. For the 51st festival, the tribute was "Women: A Multi-Synthetic Reading" the painting depicting the woman reading is by the artist Giorgos Rorris.
